How can I resist a RED challenge?

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude
Can’t beat a good splash of red, for making a photo stand out.
London is always good for reds, but on this occasion Lisbon has served you well Jude.
Regards as always, Pete. x
Oddly enough I didn’t get many reds in London, but then I was avoiding the classic London bus, telephone box shots.
Great collection Jude. As you know we loved Lisbon too.
it was only whilst looking for the meeting place photos that I realised how many red images I had from Lisbon, so decided to put together this gallery. Glad you like π
I like your choices. What a pop of color red is! π
it’s interesting to view your photographs focussing on colour only, I was surprised to find so many reds in my Lisbon set.
π π
Such colourful images. Exactly what I would expect to see in Lisbon.
Lots of red roof tiles too – though they are more terracotta coloured.
Love those tiles, Jude! Where did you see them? I could use a tram ride. Feeling tired tonight.
I suspect the tiles were in the centre somewhere around that square – I love the way there is a cat on the roof in several of them! I really should have bought one. Have a good rest Jo – too much walking and zumba-ing?
Could be π I need an early night but it never happens.
Glass of red, good book and off to bed with you! But then you will probably wake up at 3 am π
Yep! That’s part of the problem π (waking too early)
Haven’t thought about if I’m going to do the 12- 1.00am post yet.
Great collection of the dynamic reds, Jude. Irresistible! π
Portugal is very colourful, I think I did a yellow post mainly of Portuguese buildings/objects.
You can’t. [grin]
All too true π
What a lovely mix – and all within the confines of Portugal. That great door is particularly unusual in red – is it?
Red in my life is the little red scooter waiting to delight a twin – there’s also a blue one. Flimsy as all getout, but very cute.
I like red, though it took me until my late thirties to actually wear that colour (I did have dark auburn hair). The door is more a browny-red, I admit to enhancing it a little π
Great choices Jude!
Thanks Carol – such a lovely cheery colour.
Nice selection of shots. I particularly like that giant door. The red does attract the eye.
