These two trees in a nearby field endure the different weathers of winter, spring, summer and autumn, year after year, often for hundreds of years. You have to admire their strength.
Oh I absolutely love this Jude π Wonderful!
Thanks Sarah, I really must try and get one in autumn colours, unfortunately last year it was too wet to go out and get a photo. I shall keep my eye on them this year.
I’m always looking out for the perfect tree to do a project like this but I can never find one that’s accessible! A stormy skies look and snow scene would be great too π It’s perfect for “Endurance”!
Noted! I have some lovely trees in the snow, but not these two. Must.try.harder. π
Me.Too.Me.Too π
I think you did very well the the Dahlia! π
I have some even better autumn flower images to come π
Nice to think how long they have stood there, and what events have passed by them during that time.
Regards as always, Pete. x
Oh, yes, if only trees could talk.
It’s wonderful that you’ve stood in the same spot each season to take these wonderful photos of endurance. π
It is such a lovely rural scene, I need to go back over the next few weeks and get some more photos.

Oh fabulous, wouldn’t it be great to record them for years and years?
It sure would!
Great take on the challenge, Jude π
I love trees… thought about a large oak, but decided to go with the 4 seasons.
And it worked!
Great pics!
Thank you!
Plus, I have to admire your idea, Jude ! – you never make a single post that hasn’t been thought out and presented carefully.
What a blogger you are ! π
Ah, you are so kind M-R. I do try to think about a challenge, nice to know that is noticed π
Excellent idea Jude. I keep meaning to do a 4-season view of our marsh grasses but never quite get around to it π
Thanks Tina. I need to capture the trees in their autumn colours – the autumn shot does have colour in the background, but by creating the collage I have lost that. I’m keeping my eyes on the leaves now!
What a treat to see these trees through all four seasons. Thanks!
I love the shape of these two trees, have to get in the right position though!
Will you be able to endure the loss of a landscape you know and document so well when you move on? I love the fact that you have known these trees through so many changes.
I’m always moving on. Longest I stayed in one place was 18 years and I was so busy doing a degree, working, bringing up 4 children single-handed that time flew by and I wasn’t into photography then. I feel ready for somewhere new.
