I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

The word mystical comes to mind. ❤
Mystical and magical 🙂 Thanks Tess.
we L ❤ VE your fayri ring of fungi, Jude! 🙂
Big hug and lots of fayriedust from Siri and Selma ####
I waited to see if any of your cousins appeared, but sadly they were all hiding 😦
Too sad! But you know, they are only visible to winged fairy beings, that’s how it works! 🙂
Well, I’m sure I have see one or two, but not on this day – such a magical, enchanting forest 🙂
Love your fungi shot Jude – and your photo title to go with it!!😊
Thank you Tina – the title came to my head the moment I saw the challenge.
Lovely photos! It’s a long time since I have seen a fairy ring.
Me too! I was excited to find this one and had to walk around the perimeter to confirm it was an actual ring.
Very nice! The part that appears in my reader looks as if it has a gauzy curtain across the view, inviting me to pull it aside to see the whole thing.
Thanks Elizabeth – I’m glad the effect worked well 🙂
You know how much I love fairy rings Jude and I adore both photos, the blurry effect gives them such a mystical quality. I can’t think of a more perfect photo for this week’s challenge. I’m going to have to take a look and see what I come up with…but this has to be my favourite 😀 xx
Ah, thanks Sherri. So glad you like it. They are such magical things aren’t they? I think I was enchanted by fairy rings from reading all those fairy stories as a wee one and I get so excited when I see one. I did enhance the blur to make it a bit more mystical.
Late to the party, but agree that it is a suitably dreamy shot, and the light is just right!
Regards as always, Pete. x
Thank you Pete – enjoying your new office then?
It is just a computer on the floor at the moment. Need to get help to haul in the desk and shelving units. Hopefully be sorted over the weekend. Can’t do this cross-legged thing for too long Jude! x
Well, don’t go strain any more muscles!
You have really caught the dreamy theme both in the subject and the way you have photographed it Jude.
Cheers PP. I love finding things like this on a walk.
Beautiful picture and a wonderful quote…
Thank you 🙂
What a fascinating shot, Jude! Whatever you’ve done to it is very clever. 🙂
A little bit of artistic blurring Jo 😀
I like it! 🙂 When do you leave for Sydney?
A couple of weeks from now I shall be in the air – oh how I wish it wasn’t such a long flight
