I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

quelle tracce scure sembrano correre infine…mi mettono tristezza, immagine molto poetica
(a rough translation: those dark tracks seem to run finally … make me sad , very poetic image)
It took me a moment to spot that small red blob hiding under the trees. What is it? All I can think is a post box, but that’s an odd place for one!
If you read Sammy’s comment you will find the answer 😀
POOches, LOL!
I love the perspective of this Jude. Are you taking it from a second story?
From a footbridge over the tracks Sue. Which is why I was able to get this view.
Cold and pristine Jude. Beautiful composition.
It was very cold…! My fingers were frozen.
Jude your photo even reaches my ears, I can hear that hush that arrives with a light covering of snow – but I’m still glad it isn’t this year!
Yes the quietness is extraordinary! Not much of the white stuff here this year either – yet!
Gorgeous pic. I can almost hear that snow crunching it’s so crisp!
