For the month of February let’s see your benches processed in Black and White
Check out these Tips for B&W photography.
If you would like to join in with the Bench photo challenge then please take a look at my Bench Series page. No complicated rules, just a bench and a camera required 🙂
- Create your own post and title it Bench Series: February
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Add the tag ‘bench series’ so everyone can find the benches easily in the WP Reader
- Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new bench theme comes out on the first Sunday in March
My Picks of the Week:
The Wandering Poet – now isn’t that a great blog title? With an amazing perspective of a bench.
Some winter benches from Meg in Warsaw (and an explanation here)
Something very odd in London from Debbie
A lovely view over the Caloosahatchee River from Sylvia.
Ladysighs has more poignant poems about benches for us to enjoy.
A sweet spot to relax in from Issy this week aptly named ‘Rendezvous’
Thanks to everyone who has joined in with this challenge so far.

There sit the benches humbly beside the bridge waiting their turn for attention.
Indeed Sue. I am so excited!! You got it! The bridge stole the limelight.
🙂 Thanks Jude.
Very good perspective in your photo Jude. Here’s my contribution for this week… https://memoriesaremadeofthisblog.wordpress.com/2015/02/09/bench-series-february-black-white-2
Here is my bench for this week: http://travelwithintent.com/2015/02/09/amsterdam-wooden-bench/
These are mine for this month https://cranethie.wordpress.com/2015/02/10/bench-series-looking-at-life-in-black-and-white/
Love the contrast of the roundness of the bridge arches against the squareness of the bench arms and backs
Lovely old bridge and bench seats. This is my first time participating in the challenge. It sure sounds like fun. I am here via another participant in the bench series.
I shall be over to check it out soon! Thanks for joining in 🙂
Great that you got a bridge in with the benches, lovely photo. I’ve discovered that Picasa comes with my new laptop so I am seriously slow with editing while I try and get the time to figure out how to use it. Darn nuisance as I keep running into this kind of thing, but mustn’t complain…and I will try and get my B&W bench photo to you in time 🙂
No worries! You have another two weeks 🙂
I tend to use pixlr these days as it is so easy and quick to use. And free. I like free.
Thanks Jude…I had my weeks all muddled up thinking that February ended this week! I’ve not tried pixlr. Do you download it?
You can use pixlr online or download an app for PC or iPad I think. I have it on my PC and it is a very quick program to use.
