A Black and White Sunday

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude
Nice! 🙂 🙂 I think there’s going to be much black and white and not much blue around here today. Looking for rainy day options.
My rainy day option is to read a book. Proper soaking rain here today, but the wind isn’t as bad as it was yesterday. You could do some decorating 😋
Thanks, pal! 🙂 🙂
Just trying to be helpful. Quick trip to B&Q 😀
I was thinking more museums but Mick is engrossed in work and he’s chief decorator. I hold the paint can 🙂 🙂 Unbelievably I have already written tomorrow’s walk and am thinking I might schedule a couple while I’m on a roll. Unheard of! But I do enjoy writing, while you lot chitter chatter in the background.
You are a restless soul aren’t you. Never wanting to stay at home. OK, get on with the writing then. I am planning my spring garden now! Wind here has caused havoc with the jasmine!
Stuffed! Too much Sunday lunch. I was thinking an evening stroll but it’s bouncing again xx
Perfect silhouettes – palm trees are the perfect candidate.
They do and these are so Californian looking.
Palm trees are so distinctive, and never fail to make great subjects for a shot.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Thanks Pete, these ones looked so good in a cluster. Glad you like the photo.
This is v. striking. With the black frame it has a sort of art deco feel.
It does rather. I wouldn’t mind this on the wall actually.
I was thinking that too 🙂
Definitely large wall art
I shall have to go back to this image and see if I saved the large size – quite often I don’t bother.
Love this. There’s a wonderfully constructed element to it. As though the foreground silhouettes have been pasted over the photo. Nice!
They do look rather like cut-outs!
A nice touch of drama Jude 🙂
Thanks Gilly, this one worked nicely 🙂
I love those silhouettes, Jude. 🙂
I thought you’d like them. Must be a lot like this where your sister lives.
Yes, LA has this kind of landscape in parts. 🙂
I thought this looked Californian, and then I read your tags… 🙂
Not so far from you!
I think I might be calling in there soon in my role as tour guide with our current visitor. 🙂
There is a lovely walk along the oceanside.
Very striking in b/w and as silhouettes, Jude. I like it.
Thanks LD xx
