For the month of February let’s see your benches processed in Black and White

If you would like to join in with the Bench photo challenge then please take a look at my Bench Series page. No complicated rules, just a bench and a camera required 🙂
- Create your own post and title it Bench Series: February
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Add the tag ‘bench series’ so everyone can find the benches easily in the WP Reader
- Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new bench theme comes out on the first Sunday in March
My Picks of the Week:
A bench swamped by students from Klara
Daily Musings pays tribute to a friend
Pauline is in Tasmania this week, which looks more like England than Oz
An unusual background in old Amsterdam
and a couple you really wouldn’t want to sit on at the moment in Norway from a new entrant, Amanda.
and for a warmer photo Gilly has a lovely example of lines, patterns and contrasts.
Thanks to everyone who has joined in with this challenge so far.
I like the shadows in your photo!!
Here is my entry:
Thank you! It was the shadows which caught my eye – the benches are quite ugly really.
I must try
A trifecta! Benches, lines and shadows.
How could I resist?
I like the bench in Ghana. The woman has solved the problem of no armrests, by using the back of a chair. I thought it looked suitably African, and I agree it works well in B+W.
Regards as always, Pete. x
Thank you Beetley Pete!
I love the shadows from your bench. Here’s mine this week https://dailymusing57.wordpress.com/2015/02/15/bench-series-february-2/
Great shadows and light, Jude!
I too am taken with the shadows of the bench. Gives the photo more depth and interesting details. ❤
Let’s face it Tess, these benches aren’t that appealing.
Not comfortable looking, that’s sure. I like the picture though.
I didn’t give them the comfort test! But they are made of some synthetic material, not wood.
Really? Hugh. Thought it was ugly wood.
I really like the strong, rich shadows Jude!
Love this one, Jude, with the shadows joining them together. 🙂
