For the month of March I’m looking for Wooden benches

If you would like to join in with the Bench photo challenge then please take a look at my Bench Series page. No complicated rules, just a bench and a camera required 🙂
- Create your own post and title it Bench Series: March
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Add the tag ‘bench series’ so everyone can find the benches easily in the WP Reader
- Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new bench theme comes out on the first Sunday in April
My Picks of the Week:
Cathy has a selection in Victoria, I quite fancy sitting in the rotunda
or perhaps on this small bench (made for skinny people?) under the shade of the tree found by Aletta.
Klara has got an interesting perspective of a bench this week.
Pauline has discovered a bench she had forgotten about, whilst Sylvia takes us to the beach in Sanibel
and Debbie is on Broadway.
Thanks all for joining in with the black and white theme.
Looks a peaceful spot to sit and contemplate. And the long grass and wild flowers makes me yearn for Spring!
Here is my wooden bench: http://travelwithintent.com/2015/03/01/mossy-bench-malvern-hills/
I wouldn’t mind sitting there when it looks like that – wonder how it looks in winter? The fence behind give sit a sort of ‘safe feeling’ almost as if you are hidden from others and can think in peace.
Mine for today is a visit to ‘my’ bench in the park – the one I showed in the black/white post.

Loving the foreground in this Jude. As if that bench is saying you have some attention but I am the main act of the show. 🙂
Love the way the grass swallows the bench. How do you use it? Are you actually a bench sitter?
This is a quiet bench, and a lovely spot to sit and read a book, though I have only used it to relax on for a short time and watch butterflies. As I don’t have a garden I do like to sit on benches and take in the surroundings in a garden, and I do use them to regain my breath on a walk. But I don’t sit for hours at a time. For one thing, some are very uncomfortable 🙂
Lovely bench image, Jude. Beautiful setting. Here’s mine: https://anotherday2paradise.wordpress.com/2015/03/02/turtles-and-crocodiles-for-judes-bench-challenge-9/
Hi Jude,
So glad to discover your blog! Thanks for a great challenge. Here is my response: https://naomibaltuck.wordpress.com/2013/04/18/benchmarks/
Thanks for joining in Naomi, I’ll go and look shortly 🙂
Oh, I very much like some of the challenges I’m seeing here. I might not do them all, but I think I might enjoy watching even if I’m not participating. What great ideas!
Enjoy visiting the other benches too – from all around the globe!
I love this challenge as much as photographing benches. Here’s my entry:
Thanks 🙂
Thanks Aletta :)_
It looks like the bench is in the middle of nowhere. However, I’m sure it’s in a very useful spot.
Do you make it a habit to sit on the benches you photograph? 🙂
Sometimes LD – I have taken to giving them a bench ‘test’ recently. Location. accessibility and comfort 😀
