Let the sun shine in…

The Weekly Photo Challenge is about Doors. Those of you who are regulars to my blog will know that I am quite partial to a door or two. My last post explained about the importance of having the correct colour for your front door so that everything was good in Feng Shui terms. One colour escaped me though. A yellow door. Lo and behold on a house hunting trip to Penzance I spied one across the road. And naturally had to take a photograph.

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. Makes me realize I must paint our front door it is a very faded shade of yellow and I love the vibrant yellow of this door you’ve shown us… The sun you know plays havoc with paint over here…

      1. Well…… Yes, should do, but must admit I have other priorities. We are lucky really as our house is red brick with aluminium joinery, only needs the door painting…

        1. When I originally planned this garden I had easy maintenance in mind with shrubs and ground cover and natives. But every now and again I like to re-do a section, when I am home of course…

  2. Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear. Yellow and green should never be seen – to do with the county just to the north me and a certain person I live with. I do like that yellow door though.

  3. A sunshine door! Gotta love it 🙂 Aside from which I do concur with Carol. We’re becoming a double act- scary thought 🙂

        1. South is better. East is Earth or Water tones so green, brown, blue, black, pale yellow and earthy tones are good. But if you like purple then go with it 😀
