… finding a beach that makes you happy!
Paula over at Lost in Translation runs a weekly Black and White Sunday challenge. Sorry to hear she is feeling rather stressed and poorly this week. I wish her a speedy recovery and time to rest.

I’m in!
Wow – the perspective on this photo is really interesting. I didn’t realize how expansive the view was until I noticed the very tiny people on the beach!!
From above. I decided against walking down on to the beach as it was very windy and we could see a storm heading in!
Beaches make me happy too!
😀 Have you been to this one? Loe Bar near Helston? Bit of a trek to reach it.
No, I don’t think I have. Something else to add to my list for our next Cornwall visit!
great shot, all those curvy shapes, textures and 2 tiny human creatures to illustrate the vastness.
Thank you Klara. One of my favourite spots in Cornwall.
I had a bench, you had a beach!
This is a beautiful shot. Wish I was there right now.
Nice place to put your bench 🙂
I could do with a (warm and sunny) beach today, Jude. Grey and murky here, light rain, flooded fields, and yet more mud. January is turning out to be a very depressing month, that’s for sure.
Regards as always, Pete. x
I don’t think it was very warm at the time (October) and a storm brewing, but I hear what you are saying 😉
I used to ignore B&W photos because they were boring. How wrong I was! Love them now. Didn’t notice the people till Joanne mentioned them. Quite the perspective. ❤ ❤
I suppose now we are used to colour images it is a challenge to see black and white ones differently; to focus on the things which colour tends to distract us from, such as the curves on this one.
It IS true, we have been dazzled with color so we don’t look at the little bits, or notice them.
Any virtually empty beach makes me happy 🙂
Me too 😀
And me!!
Please add me on the list! 🙂
It is a big enough beach 😉
Haha, we have all gained some weight over Christmas …
Look at the girls… 😉
hahaha… that is so funny. Though I bet Siri and Selma are scowling right now 😀
Fuming! “We’re not this vain, Jude!”
I am sure you are both still as light as a feather! A lovely pheasant feather 🙂
Beaches make me very happy too! Lovely image Jude.
Lots of happy people… 😀
But not Paula! Definitely out of sorts this week, as she hasn’t made it here to say thanks. Working much too hard but feeling obligated to do so. What can you say? I’m afraid I just ruffle feathers 😦 Or is that the gamebird? 🙂
You? Ruffle feathers? I doooon’t believe it! But I do know the ‘being put upon’ feeling. One reason I realised that teaching was not for me.
Surprising how beaches actually look more remote in Black and White and it brings out the patterns of the waves. Nice interpretation of the theme Jude.
I love the patterns in this image, and it is actually quite a remote beach and not one for swimming, so I think it attracts mainly dog walkers.
