What comes into your mind?
I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude

Yes, she is! π π I love your statuary shots and she’s particularly winsome.
You don’t want to know what I’m thinking. Mildly full of hell this morning, but it’s passing. Not so sunny smiles π
Sorry to hear that π¦
Any news on the James front? Moved yet?
I’ll send that email I owe you (and many others π π ). Not his fault. Me being pigheaded this morning. Over it now, and got a new plan.
Nice detail, Jude.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Thanks Pete. Any cooler your way?
21 today, grey and humid, chance of rain. Last night was the hottest yet though, very sticky and uncomfortable. At least it’s not raining! x
Much more comfortable for Ollie’s walk. And yours π
Thanks, Jude. It was surprisingly humid this afternoon, and a little uncomfortable until the breeze got up.
Breezy here too, normal weather resumed π
Nicely isolated detail. It’s a very lifelike gaze.
You probably recognise where this is from π
Got it! π I haven’t been there for a while. Part of the walkway was damaged during the violent storms last year.
‘Beam me up Scotty’ …… ?
I think she is holding something up to the light to admire it – an ice lolly perhaps? π
No idea!
I always admire people who have the vision to create sculpture, so my entry will also be sculpture. To be able to take a piece of stone and see such beauty waiting to come out is incredible.
True artists. I think the same about all creative people, yourself included.
She makes me think of my own favourite angel in Glasgow Necropolis. I love this sort of memorial.
Ah, but aren’t all angels supposedly masculine or genderless?
Are they? I definitely think of mine as female. She’s due for a starring role in my June roundup post.
Oh, I shall look forward to that π
What comes to my mind is your vision in creating your garden. Never mind angelic visions!
Garden on hold during the heatwave, but I will get back to it soon. Rethinking the raised beds, fed-up of battling with the slugs and snails – they seem to win regardless.
Jude it makes me think of my Grandma who is now passed. She loved angels. I can see her bright smile and admiring eyes as I gaze at your beautiful photo.
