I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude

Nicely done. Really effective in black and white.
Thanks Colline.
Lovely shot, Jude.
Thank you Sylvia. I have some other shots of this window with the sun streaming through, but I can’t find them!
Timeless shot, Jude.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Thank you Pete. Just fished you out of the spam folder on this blog and your comment about the Leylandii! You had plenty of company π
Great image, Jude, and a good prompt for fiction….
True. If only I could write.
π
Very pretty Jude and a good curtain for peeping through!
And nosey neighbouring, you mean? π π
Funnily enough the sound carried extremely well in that courtyard. You could easily hear the conversations when people met on the corner.
I suspected as much x
I wasn’t listening in, really, just that was my bathroom and the window was always open.
Not much to see from that window as it was high above the street. Only roofs and the woods in the background. Oh, and the rapeseed field.
Sort of romantic π π
Well yes, I do like the linen, shame it is actually a tablecloth (one of my mother’s from the 1940s I believe).
I absolutely love this photo- the curtains, the way they are hanging in the window- just beautiful
Thank you Lisa. I was taking photos of the shadows, but couldn’t find those images (I have now, but too late!)
Lovely image, Jude
A little bit of Ludlow.
I like this shot and the way the curtain carelessly falls ‘just so’ π
It’s the artful way I dress my house [she says with a grin…]
Obviously a natural talent π
I didn’t realize you had taken a photo in your own home π
My ex home. Cute little attic windows and the tablecloth fitted perfectly as a curtain!
See? It is a natural talent … using a tablecloth as a curtain! Inspired π
Heehee… inspired or bonkers!
Always go for the former. Always. Who’s to argue? π
Very nostalgic picture that leads me questioning. Wonderful entry!
Thank you π
