March Square | Squares

…every square is a rectangle because it is a quadrilateral with all four angles right angles. But of course every rectangle is not a square as a square is a special kind of rectangle, one where all the sides have the same length.

Use your imagination…

If you fancy a distraction from the weather this month then join in with Becky’s (“A life of a 40 something”) March challenge of square photographs with the theme:

  1. Squared Squares’ – think multiple squares and squares within squares
  2. Squaring the Circle’ – the perfect post will be a circle within a square

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. I just wanted to let everyone know that I know the difference between a rectangle and a square and that I realise that there are more of the former than the latter in this picture. But if you draw imaginary lines on the rectangles then you can have more squares. So much more happiness 😀 😀

  1. Reminds me of my old headteacher, a wonderful mathematician, who obsessed over correct terminology! Don’t get me started on times versus multiplied by!!!
