Another of my favourites, but the best is yet to come…
Five days left to join in with Becky’s (“A life of a 40 something”) March challenge of square photographs with the theme:
- ‘Squared Squares’ – think multiple squares and squares within squares
- ‘Squaring the Circle’ – the perfect post will be a circle within a square
March Square | 27th March
Another cracker. Square tiles formed in a circle, and a neat cow too!
Best wishes, Pete. x
I love the cow! She looks like one of the dairy herd opposite.
oh this is gorgeous. Hope it is somewhere appropriate like a butchers or cheese shop?!!
In the Ferry Building market in San Fran. Near the cheese shop I think.
That’s close enough to count!
Oh, wonderful! Belted Galloway??
No. A Holstein Friesian, I think
Oh, OK…I’m no cattle expert!
Belted Galloway don’t have the white face and they are beef cattle. This was near to a cheese shop so I imagine it is a dairy cow. I’m no expert either, but know a bit more since moving next to a cattle farm!
Very good!
Another good one, Jude. Imagine cutting and placing all those little tiles. What a job.
I like cows, itlLooks like a Friesian, did you find it in Kernow?
In San Fran! Not sure what sort of dairy cows they have over there 🙂
That’s a very appealing picture. 🙂
A bit strange Jude, but I like it, as it has the colouring of a Belted Galloway, as Sue said, but the body of a Friesian. I was a milk maid in a former life!!! Maybe a belted Friesian… (I made that up)
Perhaps the artist made this one up too! As far as I know Belted Galloways have black faces and are not used for milking.
You are right about the Galloways Jude but then Friesians have more irregular markings…
Yes. Definitely made by someone who has never looked at a cow 🙂
