Silent Sunday

Published by

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude
Tranquility!
He was definitely ‘in the moment’.
Perfect encapsulation of silence. An iconic shot!
I hadn’t thought of it like that, but yes. Capturing silence.
Beautiful. Contemplation is encouraged in that photo.
Thank you Gerard. It does have a peaceful feel about it.
This feels timeless. Put it up in B&W, and it could be the 1920s.
Best wishes, Pete. x
I was wondering why I hadn’t altered the format. Black and white or even sepia. Might have a go. Thanks Pete.
Brilliant composition. Deserves a frame and a wall!
Thanks Ark. Much appreciated 🙂
What a beautiful setting for him.
He did look very much at home there.
OH? Asleep or reading? I’m viewing it on my phone but I can guess the answers xx
No-one to do with me 🙂
Just a bloke. In a garden. Sketching. Could be Jack of course…
Ah, a random bloke! 🙂 🙂 I’m meeting one of those tonight. Not sure how I get myself into these situations. Tell you about it later. Nice shot, though!
Watch it with those randoms 😉
I shall! It’s a non WP blogger who long distance walks and as he’s in Seaton Carew, the other side of town, tonight I can hardly refuse. 😦
A random bloke, Jo? Whatever next
You home again, Sue? Adventure over and all good? 🙂 🙂
Home again, adventures are all too quickly over …. Had a good time, but a bit worn out in the heat here
Oh I love a bit of heat, Sue. Good to have you back safe x
Alas, I can no longer do heat ….
Yes I could see he was sketching, nicely caught of him in the zone…
Made me think of Jack when I came across this photo.
Yes definitely, total concentration, can’t talk to Jack when he is sketching….
Peace and tranquility….love it! And I’m wondering which (NT?) garden this is
Hinton Ampner, Hampshire. Not so very far away from you.
Ah, I have been there once, a good few years ago. Don’t really remember it
A spring post on my flower blog and a summer one to come soon.
Ooh, great!
Very nice and yes in sepia it would be even better!
