Last week I posted this photo in colour. Several people wondered whether it would be better in black and white or a with a sepia tint. I wondered that myself, so here it is using a sepia effect to ‘age’ the photo. What’s your preference?

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  5. Sepia gets my vote. It is perfect for early 20th century. I have a tin of photos inherited from my parents that look just like this in style. Very nostalgic.

    1. Thanks Andrew. I have a bunch of old photos too, many of them of nameless people. I don’t suppose my children will want them, but it is hard to throw them away.
