Becky’s September square photo challenge Day 25! She would like us to share photos which embrace ‘pink’ – there could be pink in the photo, the subject or photographer could be ‘tickled pink’*, or indeed looking ‘in the pink’*. A photo that manages to do all three things is the ultimate offering.
calçada portugues in Belem - the delightful district to the west of central Lisbon
*‘in the pink’ means in perfect condition, or in good health, and ‘tickled pink’ means delighted.
September Squares | Pink
PS. There was the possibility of a pink sunrise this morning, but I only had the phone upstairs and tried taking a photo through a rather grimy window. Result not great. Sky. Fantastic!
where else could it be 🙂
I must try to see Lisbon one day. Portugal is a somewhere I have never been, and feel I missed out on.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Not a bad flight either Pete. You should take Julie for an anniversary treat.
Maybe I will start saving up, for her 60th! 🙂
That would be a lovely idea. What month?
Unfortunately it is in January, 2021. But at least we avoid the crowds. 🙂
You would that, but I might leave it until a bit later – spring is gorgeous in Portugal. March /April might be nice. In January you need to be heading to South Africa to catch the sun. Cheap to eat out there and gorgeous red wine to drink 😉
You and me both, Pete!
Belem is calling me….
Lisbon is lovely, though tough on the old feet with those cobbles and hills. Belem area is nice and flat though.
Tough on my legs and energy generally….but there must be taxis or tuktuks!
Trams and taxis. Can’t recall any tuktuks!
Trams and taxis will do fine
So you have grimy windows too, life’s too short isn’t it?
They are grimy almost as soon as the window cleaner has been! Living next to a barn with cattle and straw is a disadvantage! Noisy boys arrived yesterday so I am very tired today 😦
Very cool. Am glad you got to enjoy the pink sunrise 😊
