Becky’s September square photo challenge Day 24! She would like us to share photos which embrace ‘pink’ – there could be pink in the photo, the subject or photographer could be ‘tickled pink’*, or indeed looking ‘in the pink’*. A photo that manages to do all three things is the ultimate offering.
Pale Pink Rose from my garden - there had to be one rose!
*‘in the pink’ means in perfect condition, or in good health, and ‘tickled pink’ means delighted.

What an absolutely beautiful rose Jude.
It is very pretty when in full flower against the wall.
And what a gorgeous one you have included. Is its smell as wonderful as its looks?
Faint scent only I’m afraid. Climbs up the front of the house in the courtyard.
oh I’ll let it off if it a climber!
That’s very nice indeed. It would make a lovely greeting card. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete. x
Pure beauty, but that is to be expected from a rose in bloom. I assume you have a variety of rose breeds in your garden?
I’m not really a rose person – grew them many years ago and found them quite hard work. I think there are better varieties now though. I inherited a couple with the house and I have one Gertrude Jekyll that I bought because she is my favourite plantswoman 😉 I’m after a less conventional English garden.
This is so beautiful. I’m not a huge ‘rose person’ and wouldn’t want a garden full of them, but I do appreciate having one or two (though I don’t appreciate the pruning, I can never get that quite right!).
They are hard work. With this one I simply cut off all the dead ones at the end of the season. And I can’t even reach the ones at the top!
There did, and this is a pretty one. 🙂 🙂
If you were going to include just one pink bloom I’m glad it is this one. It’s beautiful.
I believe this is the second flower, and there may be more 🙂
Perfection 🙂
Beautiful.
