Time for another square month hosted by the lovely Becky. The photos don’t necessarily have to be of a timepiece, but are open to interpretation to reflect time in some way, or sayings such as ‘the passing of time’, ‘a stitch in time’, or time running away from you.
Day 13: Tea-time
“I’m a little teapot
Short and Stout
This is my handle
And this is my spout:When the water’s boiling
Hear me shout,
Pick me up
And pour me out”
To join in with the Squares challenge please visit Becky for instructions. Remember the only proper rule is that the photo must be SQUARE.
December Squares | Day Thirteen
They still teach that song. Our grandson knows it, and he’s only four. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete. x
Some things never change 🙂
Always have time for a cuppa!
Sorry I didn’t have time to have a cuppa with you on this visit, but it has been a difficult time and also I didn’t want to pass on my bug. Maybe Cornwall in better weather 🙂
Ah well, never mind. And that is so thoughtful of you bug-wise. Cornwall in better weather sounds an inviting prospect.
Meant to say: hope you’re recovered from the bug.
Much better thanks, though still coughing occasionally. Nothing like last week though!
Coughing bugs are horrible. Glad to hear you’re over the worst. I usually wait till after Christmas to develop grim germs – one sort of segues in the other.
Happy memories of that rhyme. 😊
Did anyone else start singing and imagine the movements?!!
Not me!!
Oh dear, not much hope for me is there!
‘fraid not
😝
Movements? I’m far too slim to be a teapot. 🙂 🙂 And I may have had too much wine for a steady hand. What time tomorrow? 😦
11:30
I do remember my children singing and making movements to this when they were in nursery.
I still use a teapot, but I think I’m in the minority. I’d love one like this.
I loathed that song when I was a kid. I am short and stout — always have been 😦
I do like tea made in a pot and since we banished teabags from the house, have bought a couple of nice teapots that are such a pleasure to use.
Glad you are feeling better btw.
I can see why you’d dislike the song. I can’t remember singing it at all!
You were spared an ear worm!! They were still singing it when the boy-child was a tot.
I’m more for coffee than tea these days, but what a cute pot !
Cute one!
