I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. ooh Pimms, now that does sound a great way to brighten up a dark afternoon! And one with Blackberry and Elderflower, you can smell summer from here 🙂

    1. Fruity! Nice with tonic water or soda water, though usually with lemonade, but I find that too sweet. A bit like a fruity iced tea I suppose.

  4. This blackberry version would by my choice of Pimms, were I to be given one! It would be like fruity ice tea with a little gin in it, is that right?

    Sorry, haven’t had time to read the challenge post properly, but I will. Another busy day, and I’ve just ‘put Christmas away’ for another year.

    1. Ginger ale is good. There is a new one with spicy orange at the moment (good with whisky) which I like to drink on its own or with gin! But I’m having a dry January so all alcohol is out 😢
