Whilst looking through some older posts I came across one about Painshill Park in Surrey which I wrote about over 4 years ago. Time flies…
The Chinese Bridge with just a small reflection in the somewhat weed-ridden river
The five arched bridge
Lady in Pink
The ruined abbey
The vineyard
Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #87 | Reflections
Yes. We all need the peace and joy offered by these images. Thanks!
And heat! It was a hot and dry day, though the dry didn’t last the week.
Just what I needed to start my day ๐
There is something so attractive about reflections.
That is so true ๐
Sometimes the old photos get lost and deserve to come back out for another viewing. These ones all fit that bill.
I am a fan of bridges and the 2nd one is a beauty!
I quite agree Jo. In fact I was looking at an old post of bridges where you had left a comment when I found that one which prompted me to look at the other post. So thank you ๐
Always good to recycle images, and good memories too. ๐
Best wishes, Pete. x
Well I haven’t been anywhere to get new images yet this year and it’s beginning to look like I won’t be travelling far with this darn virus. There’s not a lot of still water in Cornwall which you need for good reflections, though plenty of puddles!
Agreed, Pete!
Nice reflections Jude. I am particularly drawn to the last one ๐
The last one is quite spectacular, you’re not quite sure what you are seeing!
I’ve long wondered why scenes that include reflections grab us the way they do. I haven’t come up with an answer.
Well I like symmetry so maybe that’s one reason?
Itโs all about the lady in pink for me Jude. Great job catching her. โseeingโ is half the battle for the best images๐. Always happy to see your name pop up
Yes, I was waiting for her to get into the right spot before I pressed the shutter! Great colour contrast with the ruin.
The girl in the red or purple dress reflects so well. Very tranquil and soothing.
I like that one too ๐
Lovely selections from your archives, Jude. They are so surreal and the ruined Abby seems to be well maintain, yet it give such a nostalgic feeling.
Aaaah, Painshill….must be at least 7 years since I was last there….
