Andrew of ‘Have Bag, Will Travel’ is running a weekly challenge all about photographs of washing lines. I knew I had a couple of rather lovely washing lines, but a look through my archives resulted in a few more. This week we are in Lisbon, Portugal.
Monday Washing

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude
I really like those lines which have to be cranked out.
No shortage of washing here and it’s blowing rather wildly so soon dry. Did mine yesterday ππ
Me too. Must have your wind here, it’s wild but warmer than the wind on Thursday which came from the east. Hope you’re feeling more cheerful today. Brisbane gone into a 3 day lockdown, again. Probably only got one case!
Comes and it goes. Apparently Alcoutim, up the Guadiana, is a hot spot too but it probably only has a population of a hundred at most at the moment. ππ Keeping busy. Dropped food and Easter eggs off at Algarve in Need this morning.
Very community minded of you, Jo
It’s an essential at the moment, Sue.
Sure
Like Andrew, I like those lines!
I was going to place a bet at the Bookies that you would all run out of washing line photos. I would have lost! π
Best wishes, Pete.
I don’t have many more, unless I go out searching locally π
Or take one of your own washing! π
Best wishes, Pete x
I don’t think so! A rotary drier is not very exciting.
No wind here today, but it’s going to be quite warm, so the wash will dry quite quickly. I won’t be entering this challenge, though, because all I’d have would be our laundry on our little rack. Not very exciting. You can only hang things out here where no one can see them, but as we have walls around the backyard, that’s not too bad. But no glimpses or photos of anyone else’s laundry. It’s so ridiculous.

Goodness, how does that top one work? Do they hang their things inside and then put it out somehow?
There’s always that moment when you put the washing on one of these when you panic (well at least i do) that it will all disappear down below!
I enjoyed this series!
Funny how so many us photograph washing lines π
