Andrew of ‘Have Bag, Will Travel’ is running a weekly challenge all about photographs of washing lines. I knew I had a couple of rather lovely washing lines, but a look through my archives resulted in a few more. This week we are back in Venice, Italy with a slightly camouflaged pink sheet against a pink house. But if you look carefully you will see some more hanging out on the left and obvious washing lines, sans washing, on the right.
What struck me about this image is how tall those aerials are! (And that the houses are pink, altogether suitable for this month, but very much a coincidence).
You have to have tall aerials in some places, to get a signal worth having. In Surrey, I have seen much taller aerials than those, near Purley. Maybe there should be a telly aerial challenge next? If anyone ever runs out of photos of washing lines of course. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete. x
Haha… you are so funny Pete. I bet you even wrote that with a straight face 😆
I’m looking forward to seeing who comes up with the most unusual aerials. 🙂 x
Great picture. Nice and busy.
Those really are some enormous aerials! Seems almost as if they should have something on top to warn low-flying planes. 🙂

D’you know, I missed this one, but seen it now, lovely pink walls as a backdrop to washing
