Monday Washing

Andrew of ‘Have Bag, Will Travel’ is running a weekly challenge all about photographs of washing lines. I knew I had a couple of rather lovely washing lines, but a look through my archives resulted in a few more. This week we are back in Venice, Italy with a slightly camouflaged pink sheet against a pink house. But if you look carefully you will see some more hanging out on the left and obvious washing lines, sans washing, on the right.

What struck me about this image is how tall those aerials are! (And that the houses are pink, altogether suitable for this month, but very much a coincidence).

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. You have to have tall aerials in some places, to get a signal worth having. In Surrey, I have seen much taller aerials than those, near Purley. Maybe there should be a telly aerial challenge next? If anyone ever runs out of photos of washing lines of course. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete. x
