Life in Colour

To find out more about this year’s photo challenge here on Travel Words, please read this post.

This month we will be looking for orange. One of the most vibrant colours, orange is zingy and fresh. It’s a warm colour, friendly and inviting. Soft at dawn, but louder at sunset. From the palest of peaches and apricots through to copper, rust, salmon-pink and terracotta, the range of orange shades in the natural world is phenomenal.

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. Cheers Jo! I expect you are off gallivanting somewhere with that boy of yours! Just make sure Michael does things in moderation!

      1. A fairly chilled day at the beach and then a craft beer brewery at teatime. Yesterday was full on so taking it a bit slower today. 🤗🏖️💕

        1. Just taking the washing in. Shower next and off we go. 🤣💕 I was supposed to fit in somewhere to watch the Liverpool v Man U match but I may have fallen short 🙄💕

  1. Interesting to see how they can hang up their tomatoes – and how orange they look. That glass of cava sangria looks very tempting!

  2. What a bunch of tomatoes, I’ve never seen one like that. My favourite sandwich filling, I could live on tomatoes sandwiches, well seasoned with salt and black pepper – it’s one of the reasons I don’t lose weigtht!

    1. When I was 17 I hitch-hiked through Europe down to Greece and Turkey and pretty much existed on bread and tomatoes! No salt and pepper though.

    1. My tomatoes didn’t come to anything this year. I shall try again, but use different compost. There is nothing like the taste of a freshly picked tomato.
