I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

Beautiful and colourful, great photo.
Very colourful, Jude. I really like 24 and your floral section. Happy Sunday! How’s the foot?
Perhaps we won’t mention the foot. 🤔
Foggy here today, such weird weather.
Xray, then!
Hovering around 34C here today. Been for a short meander by the sea and a drink with friends. Staying put this afternoon with half an eye on the tennis. Tavira Day tomorrow and a National Holiday so we’ll go into town after supper. Video mapping at midnight 🤔🩷 Used to be fireworks but I presume this is the environmental option 🤣🩵
Probably too late for an x-ray don’t you think? It’s not really painful, until I spend a few hours standing and then it swells again on the side of the foot. I have been keeping it raised whilst watching the tennis 😉
Video mapping sounds intriguing. 34C is HOT 🔥
Colourful indeed!
Yes, a very vibrant place. Of course SD is not far from the Mexican border so shares the same Spanish heritage.
Clearly quite the place for photo opportunities. This post does have quite a Mexican vibe.
Yes, it reflects its Spanish heritage.
Lots of history, and a feast of colour too. That looks like a great place to visit.
Best wishes, Pete. x
SD has several interesting locations, all very different. I really enjoyed my visits there.
I especially like that first gallery although all your shots seem colourful!
It’s a very colourful place. Reflecting the Spanish culture.
Wow so colourful
That hat in the header would just do me for the sunshine – if we ever get any. I hate putting suncream on my face and that hat would keep the end of even my nose safely in the shade!
Lots to see! Foreign markets can be such interesting places to wander around – wish ours were as much fun!
beautiful pictures!
Thank you!
