Way back in 2015 – yes that really is ten years ago – I decided to post photos of the numerous benches sitting in my folders. It seemed that I was not alone and suddenly it turned into the Bench Challenge where I set a particular criterion each month and people joined in posting their bench photos. It was a lot of fun and I met a lot of wonderful bloggers through it.

This year I am returning to mark the occasion by posting a bench photo every Sunday. There will not be any particular theme set this year so it’s not really much of a challenge, but if there is anyone out there who still has a bucketful of bench photos and would like to join me, then please do so by adding a link in the comments or a link to my post in yours (a pingback) and I will happily pop along to admire.
A beautiful mellow day xx
Yes. Be nice to get back to our garden walks. Not today though, grey and very wet!
If I may just pick up on a tangent, Jude – your first comment about 10 years gone by so quickly. Somebody said to me a couple of weeks ago……do you realise that in 5 years’ time the 80s will be 50 years ago……gulp
Tell me about it. My eldest son is 50 this week. And when you see clips from the 70s and 80s they look so old fashioned!
Yep, my daughter was 45 last week. I used to think that 45 was old….
And I still think I am 30 so how can this happen?
Despite the lack of armrests, (which I would make compulsory on benches) I would like to sit there on that day and just think about the view.
Best wishes, Pete. x
It’s quite comfy without the armrests and has a lovely view over towards Falmouth.
It would be lovely to sit there for a while and just enjoy the view.
This garden has lots of benches, several of them have great views.
