During July I will be joining in with Becky’s SimplyRed Squares.

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude

Great shot. The bikes-for-hire here are blue, so I can’t join in.
Some magic photo editing? 🤔
I’m not so good at isolated colour changes.
Great capture. 😊
I never know why I take a particular photo, but I’m glad I took this one.
You have a good eye.
Ah, yes- I can see you whizzing round on one of those…? xx
Haha… Not really. I last rode a bike 40 years ago.
That’s what I thought xx
And you?
I can just about manage a velo with someone pedalling beside me, or a tricycle. My best effort is one of those benches with pedals for exercise. Will have to get Mick to take a pic of me for your Sunday benches xx
It’s too hilly around here for bikes. That’s my excuse anyway. Love to see you on a bench with pedals!
Excellent. And Barcelona has been making great efforts to make the city more pedestrian and bike friendly, so they’re even more evident now.
But not tourist friendly, I read they are out with the water pistols again, which is unfair as many tourists use hotels.
I don’t think it’s widespread. And it’ll just be those few streets that tourists frequent. You’d be amazed at how easy it is to tourist-dodge in Barcelona. Even in the city centre.
fabulous
Amazing what reds are lurking in the archives! A bit of a world tour this month.
ooh love armchair travels
Good choice for the challenge, Jude.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Thanks Pete.
Those bright red colours are a safety aspect.
That’s true.
Excellent – ours are pink which I think is not as nice as red.
Pink is a bit random.
The city slogan, People Make Glasgow, always appears on a pink background so I guess they are sticking to the theme. Not sure why pink though!
Love the red as color of choice.
It’s going to be a very colourful month on the blogs.
And isn’t that great? I think I’m going to do every day, which I haven’t done for ages.
Oh yes. The more the merrier.
Cool photo! The hire bikes in Brisbane are green.
I think Boris bikes are red (London) you see them left lying all around the city and suburbs. Just dumped!
Yes that happens here too. Some cities have already banned them and had them removed for that reason.
