I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

Ah nothing quite like that pillar box red of our iconic phone kiosk – the blue cast on the paving really sets your photo off

Mmm… not sure why it is that colour except it was in shadow.
A great choice for red squares, and beautifully squared 🙂
Thank you Sarah – I dithered a bit as to where to crop the square.
Great idea for the challenge, Jude. Old classic phone boxes, hopefully on their way to new homes as mini-libraries or garden features.
Best wishes, Pete. x
This is a permanent art installation, but I do like the ways old boxes have been reused. Many here contain defibrillators.
An intriguing sculptural idea! Shame that one has been graffitied, or is that part of it?
No, I imagine that’s someone’s tag. It probably has to be cleaned often, being practically in the centre of town.
what a great find – have they got wheels on the bottom?!
It does look like it. I suspect they are not going anywhere though.
