Must be amazing to see Jude
As a child we used to holiday around this area and often visited the beach from where I took this photo, but I do not recall the cliffs at all!
That is amazing not to remember those cliffs. I guess as a kid, I would have been more interested in swimming and rock pool exploring
Where do you have to stand to get a fabulous shot like that? The beach opposite, and bruise your toe? xx
Studland Bay – South Beach. I wasn’t impressed by the beach. Cornish beaches have spoiled me. But the view of these cliffs was good. I had intended to walk out to them along the headland if I hadn’t hurt my toe – that was done on Tuesday on the Jurassic coast.
I Haven’t been here since a school trip doing AL Geography. Time to revisit I think.
I have not been here since a child, maybe 9 years old. And I do not remember the cliffs at all.
I must say, it’s a little different from my memories too.
Wow! It must be amazing being right there close to the rocks. 😊
Not that close. I zoomed in.
Such a long time since I have been to the Dorset coast. Nice to see it again.
Best wishes, Pete. x
The thing I have against the Dorset coast is that the beaches are mostly shingle and pebbles (except for Weymouth) and the sea is boringly flat. Dorset itself is nice, but like so many places these day there is so much traffic.
Beautiful cliffs. I’ve only once been to Dorset, to Lyme Regis because I wanted to walk on the Cobb like a Jane Austen or John Fowles character. I’m not sure it lived up to expectations.
On my last visit to Lyme Regis the waves were coming over the cobb and you really wouldn’t want to walk on it!
It would have looked dramatic though!
Wooh! High waves indeed.
This area is beautiful and we had a lovely short holiday in between housesits around there.
The countryside is beautiful, rolling hills, green, thatched cottages. I’m not so keen on the beaches though.
