A bonus brown this week as I spotted this on my Sunday walk.
On returning home and reading through the posts in my Reader I realised that these two photos were also perfect for another challenge, though these were not taken using my macro lens, but my phone camera.
There is something inherently beautiful about a skeleton leaf
or in this case, petal.

This week I went out looking for countryside browns in my local area. There was no shortage of them, including mud.

This month we are looking for Brown. The colour of Mother Earth. What browns can you find in your world?
I’m sure most people don’t think of beaches together with the colour brown – we associate a beach with golden or white sand, blue sky, blue sea and brightly coloured beach accessories. So it is an interesting experiment to go to a familiar place with a different perspective in mind.

This week Ed would like to see something BROWN.
Ed wants us to think outside the box – now that comes easy to me as I am always thinking of unusual ways to interpret a challenge. So perversely my entry this week is quite safe – images of the North Norfolk coast in last year’s winter snow when everything was bleached of any colour with the exception of a natural brown palette.

I admit to using a sepia effect on the header photo, but the rest of the images are as seen, with some slight processing of saturation and levels.
