Heyjude
I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

couldn’t be more perfect. suddenly thought we were going to have 26 posts but noticed the day 🙂
🙂
Great choice!
Thanks Dina!
Got to love the Pavilion Jude, one of my favourite things on the South Coast. (De La Warr is my actual favourite though…)
As always, Pete. x
Couldn’t get much of a shot at the time as I think it was being renovated and there was lots of scaffolding all over the building. I’d like to see it now. Had to Google the De La Warr pavilion – very different, but I love Art Deco! Something to visit maybe on my next trip south 🙂
I want to buy it and live in it Jude!
My Deco/Modernist fantasy…
I remember my visit to the Pavilion, many moons ago. I would love to see more photos of the inside Jude… Good choice for B
Unfortunately it wasn’t open on my visit – I’d love to go inside too. I ‘ll definitely check it out next time I am down south 🙂
I must go through my old photos, maybe there will be a window or two there……
hey Jude,
thanks for joining my weekly challenge!
Thanks for the video FT – I haven’t heard this version before 😀
Now you knew I wouldn’t miss this one Jude!!! I sort of know about this place… 😉 x All the best with the A-Z challenge! I’m so glad that I took up the Weekly Photo Challenge, really enjoying it 🙂 xx
Well I hope you get a chance to show me some of your pavilion photos – inside and out. Or just go and write a post about it!
Have you been to the one beetleypete mentioned?
The thing is Jude, I don’t have any photos of the pavillion, or if I do, they will be pre-digital days so in a box somewhere! I go so often to visit the boys as you know but never think to take pics of it! I will have to make it my mission to do so! I got a gift voucher for eldest son and lovely girlfriend so spend the day there and have tea last year. Maybe they took some pics. Will have to research!!
Hmm, De La Warr? Is that in Brighton? Rings a bell. Will have to check this out when next there in a couple of weeks and get back to you. Watch this space… 😉 xx
De La Warr pavilion is in the Marina, Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex – so not too far away from Brighton. I hope you manage to get a few photos on your next visit 🙂 (Of both pavilions!!)
xx
Ahh, then in that case I haven’t been to it but certainly something to remember to visit one of thse days, thanks Jude! Yes, I will have to make sure to take plenty of pics next time in Brighton 🙂 xx
It’s the most magical looking pavilion, Jude. Funnily enough I was admiring it not long since on Suzanne’s blog (Travelbunny, of course) 🙂
I saw Suzy’s blog, which reminded me that I had a couple of shots of the pavilion, nothing as good as hers are, but it was covered in scaffolding when I went to Brighton and not looking very well at all. I’d love to go back.
Nice one! I must go next time I visit my friends in Worthing, nice detour I think.
Go to the De La Warr pavilion too Sue, it is in Marina, Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex so not far from Worthing. I’d love to see your photos of both pavilions – totally different styles!
Well, I’m going to have too it, then – can’t let you down! 🙂
Where is Brighton Pavillon? It’s beautiful and your header is super cool!
It is right in the centre of Brighton close to the East Pier and seafront. Hidden unfortunately by other buildings, but quite enchanting. Many thanks for your comment 🙂
It is lovely indeed Jude !
Very interesting angle on the Pavilion! This gives it a whole new look. I remember doing a day trip that combined old VSOE train carriages (all wood panelling, scones and leaded windows) and a visit to the Pavilion – the whole day being a ‘murder mystery’ played out on the train and in various parts of the Pavilion. Very cool.
That sounds like a good day out!
