WPC: Cover Art

A different twist on the weekly photo challenge this week made me think hard about which of my images I’d choose to grace the cover of a book or album or magazine.

How about this one for an Arts Magazine?

or this for a CD cover?

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. Based on those images as covers, I think I would buy them all Jude. Though I suspect that the ‘CD cover’ might grace something ethereal, (Enya?) or perhaps folky, like Fairport Convention?

    1. Mmmm… I wonder why? 😀

(Actually I have created a photobook called that, but used a different cover.)

  2. Love your collection for the art book, great choice and the travel book cover photo is stunning! Think you have me convinced that a travel book should have one very striking photo instead of a collection.

    1. I think for a travel book that’s probably true, otherwise it becomes a bit confusing – though you can use a different image on the back or even a collage there. I suppose it depends on the type of travel book you are writing.

  3. That CD cover is perfect! I could definitely see that being used on an album. I think the coffee table book on gardens is my favorite though. Beautiful compilation 🙂
