I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

I’m so picturing the way these used to be, with horse carriages and people on foot back in the day 🙂 beautiful shots!
Well it’s mostly 4WD and landrovers around here Andy, with a lot of tractors in the countryside! It is a lovely town to walk around still.
I bet! so peaceful 🙂
Aren’t the flowering ones glorious. I love seeing a row of trees all in flower. Is the pink one a cherry?
I am guessing that both the white and pink are flowering cherries, they are enormous! I was amazed at the sheer number of flowers on the pink one!
It’s gorgeous!
I like the one inside the old walls Jude. Some nice shots indeed.
Regards as always, Pete. x
That is my favourite tree Pete – such a lovely shape 🙂
That’s what appealed to me, the ‘classic tree’ shape, like we draw as a child. x
These photos are gorgeous. Spring greening always makes me feel like a million bucks. Even we finally have green grass. No tree buds burst yet.
It’s coming Tess… turned a bit chilly here this week though 😦
Yesterday and especially today, we jumped straight into summer. What a lovely shock. Warmed my winter chilled bones. 🙂
Soak in that sun while it lasts!
You bet I have! ❤
Love the blossoms! Spring has arrived!
I can’t believe the changes in just two weeks!
I love trees. My mother always likes to remind me that as a child I was always up the top of the nearest tree. Don’t do so much tree climbing these days but I’d be sorely tempted to climb that flowering cherry tree. Wouldn’t it be a glorious spot to sit for a while?
Not sure there would be room for you amongst all that blossom, but yes, it would be a magic spot 😀
A great show of trees and country side. Thank you.
Plenty of both around here 🙂
Glorious trees….they’re one of my favourite things to photograph too.
They are just so giving! Bold, bare structures through the winter when you can see through them to the landscape beyond, bright new myriads of greens in spring, fully clothed providing shade in summer, then the wonderful autumnal colours! The countryside would be very drab without trees, and that’s not to mention what they do for the planet!
Wow, Jude….that’s some very scenic writing you just did in that comment! Am almost more impressed with that than the pix of the trees themselves! 🙂
heehee… I have my moments too at times 😉
How beautiful the trees look in their new outfits, Jude. 🙂 The blossoms are so magical.
Still a few magnolias about too, but I am all magnoliaed (sp?) out after Cornwall. I will write a post about them though.
Jude it is like an explosion of color! With all of the blooms it’s like a smorgasbord of nature. I can see why you like taking photos of trees!
I left a lot out Sue! It was so good to see colour in the landscape again. And that blossom was stunning. I spotted a lilac about to bloom too so I will be back down that street in a week or two 🙂
