Wordless Wednesday: Crimson Glory

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude
I’ve noticed the autumn colour on climbing plants a lot more this year – guess my eyes are better trained!
Or places like this are using plants that provide autumn colour. I couldn’t believe how pretty this garden was still looking on Sunday.
Fall in its glorious beauty indeed 🙂
A beautiful climber 🙂
Indeed 🙂
A wonderful burst of colour, Jude. Delightfully seasonal.
Regards as always, Pete. x
Hope it cheered you up Pete, you seem a bit out of sorts at the moment
Not sure what it is Jude. Can’t seem to get motivated. Nice image though. x
Stunning colour, Jude. Florida has none of this.
I think it is the change in seasons that makes living in the UK so good.
Such beautiful colours, Jude.
I have seen this before but not so red.
Stunning photo.
Stunning plant! Took my breath away when I saw it.
Hot stuff! 🙂 No chance of grapes, I don’t suppose?
My poor Virginia Creeper has all but departed 😦
Didn’t see any berries 😦
It looks great blown up big! (I just remembered to try it- kid with new toy 🙂 )
Lovely autumnal colours in this photo. We are well into spring now and enjoying some gorgeous blooms.
Today is like a spring day, warm, breezy, and summer flowers still flowering! Wish it would stay like this until the real spring arrives 🙂
I don’t like your chances! Our daughter is living in Manchester and she said it is already quite cold.
Ah, but it is always cold in Manchester 😉
That’s what she keeps telling us. She says there was no summer at all, except for the two weeks when she went to Morocco for a holiday.
the crimson grabbed me from he reader – but the larger version of the photo highlighted all the rich textures from the bricks to the brush to the climber – and even tree branches – such a rich shot in so many ways
