Ailsa is looking for natural frames this week, this one is from Canberra where I spotted the unusual statue through this hole in the wall.
Perfectly framed…

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude

Oh yes, what a great example of a natural frame. What is that little person doing on the side? I can’t quite make it out.
That’s the strange sculpture – sitting on a wall.
Nice to see a framed shot through a circle for a change, Jude. The palm plant is a great image too, like an exploding firework.
Regards as always, Pete. x
Fitting for the day then 😉
How marvellous!!
I’m always on the look out for a natural framing 🙂
It’s always wonderful to find.
That is so nice. And a perfect frame.
I had to look really hard to spot the statue! It’s a lovely photo.
It’s not the first thing you notice through the hole 🙂
That’s what makes it such a clever photo I think. 🙂
Thanks Elaine 🙂
Wonderful choice!
G’day Jude I had to look carefully to see the little statue, very clever framing, and the burst of the palm is like a firework explosion.
As yesterday was Bonfire night here in the UK, fireworks is most appropriate PP. To be honest I hadn’t noticed the sculpture until later – this was taken at the National Museum in Canberra.
Love that museum
Me too, great outside and inside.
Brilliant observation Jude and I’m intrigued buy the scale, the sculpture could be a fair size but way off in the distance?
Great entry, Jude. Well spotted! 🙂
A very clever photo!
