WPC: On the edge

On the edge – Brightlingsea

All along the edge of the sea front in Brightlingsea are colourful beach huts. I rather like beach huts, though opinion is out in regards to Brightlingsea. These images were taken on a particularly cloudy day using a filter on my Olympus camera.

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. I love beach huts! 🙂 🙂 Specially love that first shot. I came looking for the Sunday Garden Challenge but you must have it scheduled for later. Happy Sunday! (in Lincoln? Are you sick of driving yet?)

  2. I love these colorful beach huts on a cloudy day, Jude. They look like they’re hunkered down against the cold, determined to continue holding on to their bright outlook. Great photo. 🙂

  3. A good day for a photo though Jude , without too many pesky people spoiling your lined up shot 🙂 Always fancied a day hiring a beach hut but probably that would be the kind of day everyone else would want to aswell …. Like the dramatic filter effect .
