I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

Lovely picture Jude! Your practice is definitely paying off! 🙂
It is a lot easier now the shutter system has been replaced!
Sometimes I think you need misty conditions to really appreciate Scotland. Well, what I mean is that “misty” creates the right atmosphere.
Great picture!
Not when you can’t see more than 100 yards in front of you! But I know what you mean 🙂
However, no mist today!
Well, for certain, no one goes to Scotland because of the weather. That’s what the lovely lady at Visit Scotland told me as I asked for the best time to visit The Hebrides.
Beautiful capture, great to see that you and Jo had such a fine time together. 🙂
Cheers!
Love this!!
I keep thinking that “Scotch Mist” sounds more like a drink than Scottish weather. 😉
Have a great time up there,
Pit
Thanks Pit – no doubt there is a drink called that somewhere!
I had never heard of one either, until just now I googled it and … there is indeed a drink called that. “Scotch Mist (drink), a drink with 2oz of Scotch Whisky, ice and a lemon peel”. One never ceases to learn, doesn’t one, in the modern world with the Internet? 😉 To my mind, though, Scotch over ice and with a lemon peel means spoiling a good whisky. 😉
You’d get on well with my OH!
🙂
Beauty’s easy to find in the right company, Jude. We didn’t do so bad 🙂 🙂 Nice shot! I have a spider’s webby one somewhere??? Who knows 🙂 Hope you’ve had a great day. A little more relaxed than yesterday?
Watching the doubles right now! Feeties needed a rest!
Me too! Bit tense 🙂
I’m guessing the Murrays need to win?
I suspect so 😦
This is lovely and I’m so glad you had a good day, anything else wouldn’t have been possible though. Now get the OH to give you a foot massage then back out with your camera!
It’s just as well that lovely photos can be taken in dull Scottish weather – because sometimes there’s an awful lot of it! 🙂
Fingers crossed Elaine! We have had a lovely day today, but I suspect it won’t last the whole week!
You never know – sometimes the weather there can surprise you!
