It was like being back in Ludlow. All the beautiful doors of Lincoln’s Cathedral Quarter beckoned. Often wonky, scuffed and peeling paint, elaborate stonework, fancy fanlights or just brightly coloured wooden doors. Each with oodles of character.

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I know the attraction to doors, Jude. They always promise entry into a private and mysterious world. These are certainly colorful. I took a lot of pictures of doors in Oman, but I never did a combination post. 🙂
