Magnificent Macarons

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude
I seem to remember one of these or its cousin beside the Shoalhaven. I like the double meaning of “order” that this image generates: I’ll have the purple ones and the orange ones!
Taste good? I wonder if they have any flavour as the colouring seems to come from food colouring and not any real fruit.
Bravo! 🙂 D’ you know I’ve never had one of these? Not my cup of tea, really. Smiles! Isn’t Meg clever to pick up on the duality of order?
Meg is a true wordsmith, and not much gets past her!
Me neither – they look far too sickly sweet. But very pretty.
I haven’t got to Meg’s comment yet. I am guessing it is a beautiful observation.
Did you get the windows sorted? X
Windows installed yesterday morning, he finished just as the rain started! Now re-considering what to do with the conservatory!
Beautiful
Thank you! Or are you referring to the actual macarons? 😀
Both ahaha. I love macaroons too
😀
Ah, macarons. It’s a long time since I had one of those. Very colourful, and a good subject.
Best wishes, Pete. x
And? Are they nice? They look so light and I suspect sweet and I wonder if they actually have any flavour?
Not really my thing. The ones I had were too sweet, but I believe there are lots of varieties.
The colours look beautiful.
Totally agree – someone enjoyed creating this display.
Ooh, I love a macaron and those look yum. Love the colours.
I love the colours too, but never tried them myself. They sound as though they would be a bit too sweet
Oh, my…what a well ordered selection, though not for long, I would imagine!!
Well I didn’t buy any…
And I wouldn’t have done!
Not a fan either? I prefer my cakes to be rather more solid 😉
So do I, and way less sweet…..
Like Jo, I’ve never tried one of these, they’re too expensive to eat. In fact there’s quite a bit of money tied up n that display!
They do look pretty though 😀
Yummy! Oh and nice pic by the way 🙂
Mmmm, these look so inviting. 🙂
You probably saw them in the market in Barcelona!
Yes, I did! 🙂
