Black and White Sunday: Music

Blind Musicians in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Oil drums, paint cans and twisted wire form the basis of this drum kit. A happy duo busking on the streets of Victoria Falls, December, 2000.

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. I like their smiles and I am sure I would like their music as well. Thank you, Jude. Have a great week!

    1. Well this is a scanned image – my digi shoe box starts from 2003 so yes, quite extensive. Feeling much better Jo, but still a hacking cough and some back ache. Garden will have to wait I’m afraid.

  2. 2000 – film photo? They look happy, especially the man on the right. It really looks like they’re enjoying it and not just going through the motions to earn some money.

    1. Film indeed. A 26 day camping trip and only 6 x 36 pictures taken. Oh, those were the days! Zim was desperate for tourists then (probably still is).
