I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

      1. He who knows everything! (well, all the bits that I don’t know 🙂 ) I showed him the photo because I really like it and he said, ‘it’s a ventilator’. Who am I to argue. And I forgot to look at your tags.

  4. Looks like a funnel on a posh ship or an old fashioned one. Fabulous. I just want to dive into it though 🤔 strange I know!!

    1. From an historic ferry from San Francisco to Sausalito which is in the Historic Ship Museum by Fisherman’s Wharf – Hyde Street Pier.
