I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude
Singing along! 🙂 🙂 You’re rather silent this week. In retreat from blogging?
I’ve had a few comments from Jude, Jo….
Maybe I’m blacklisted Sue xx
Not possible, Jo😀😀
🙂 🙂
😀
I tend to look at the blogs before bed and Sue often has a late one posted, I just get too tired before getting down the long list in my Reader and people have been posting a lot this week. I wouldn’t dare ignore you Jo. 😀
How’s the Polish trip working out?
I assume the dire weather impacts the posting. 😦 Nothing organised yet.
Is it dire? Been rather lovely down here. I forget sometimes that I live in a completely different world to everyone else.
You do appear to! Foggy/grey/damp this morning and variations on that all week. However the wind and rain were whistling like crazy in Olhao on Tuesday and it was raining when Becky left for the UK this morning, so… it’s life 🙂 🙂
Not managing to read other blogs so much! Been gardening and doing long overdue housework! I shall try and read your recent post today if it remains overcast. 😀
Good-o 🙂 🙂 Permanently overcast here but I’ve noted heatwave for Tuesday/Wednesday in my diary. Get those chores done! I’m wondering about scanning photos. 😦
No more chores for at least a month… 🙂
And plants arriving at the weekend so I hope it stays dry!
Scanning photos takes an awful long time. Do you have a lot of time? Maybe keep that for rainy days.
Rainy days is here! 🙂 🙂 I thought it might be light relief from clearing out cupboards. I need to sift those that I can get rid of anyway. 😦 Did you see Furnazinhas? Sometimes I get a ‘like’ as you sleepily pass by. 🙂
Have you posted something else? I’m not used to you doing more than a couple a week!
Just the Monday walk 🙂
Glad to discover I am in excellent company 🙂
There is something timeless about the appeal of ‘tall ships’.
Best wishes, Pete. x
They do look rather splendid.
I need to go back to Massachusetts! Beautiful shot, Jude. Where is it exactly?
On the river in Boston Cathy. I was looking forward to Boston, but it didn’t meet my expectations. That would be a good topic on your blog! A place that disappointed you.
You know, Jude, if I’ve been to Boston, it’s just been a drive-through because I don’t remember a thing about it. It’s on my list, but quite a drive from here!
Ah, yes, I think that would be a very good topic. I read a short story recently that made me think of that very subject, but then of course it slipped my mind. I’ve put a sticky in my calendar for June, after I return from my trip. The opposite side of that same subject would be about a place that exceeds your expectations. I could tie them up in one invitation for people to pick one topic or the other. I love this great suggestion, and always look forward to hearing more. 🙂
MrB said exactly the same of Boston. I enjoyed it though.
There were bits I liked, but overall I wasn’t impressed. And driving around was a nightmare because of roadworks near the airport! Even more terrifying than LA!
Ah we didn’t drive!
Now i’m hearing Robin Gibb 😀
So sorry about that!
That’s ok, I like the song!
