Becky’s September square photo challenge Day seven! She would like us to share photos which embrace ‘pink’ – there could be pink in the photo, the subject or photographer could be ‘tickled pink’*, or indeed looking ‘in the pink’*. A photo that manages to do all three things is the ultimate offering.
Herring Gull - 'in the pink'.
*‘in the pink’ means in perfect condition, or in good health, and ‘tickled pink’ means delighted.

Nice close-up, Jude. Their eyes look ‘dead’ to me, almost like those of a shark.
Best wishes, Pete. x
I thought his eye looked quite nice with the tiny ‘catchlight’ in it. Haven’t managed to catch a shark yet 😀
What an incredible shot. Quite a scary eye me thinks!
A shame it is yellow around the eye, but very beautiful I think. He does have pink legs and feet even though you have to imagine that part!
Oh yes it is beautiful. I’d forgotten they are the ones with pink legs!
Oh my, what a great close up!
Should have chosen the pink legs and feet 🙂
Well, you will know for next time that you should photograph everything – just in case! 🙂
I think I actually have the whole bird. I shall go and have another look at him.
Can’t get much closer than that. 🙂 🙂
Zoom lens!
Handsome, but horrid creature!
They are actually quite clever, but stupid people feed them and then wonder why they try to steal food.
