Square September: Pink

Becky’s September square photo challenge Day 25!  She would like us to share photos which embrace ‘pink’ –  there could be pink in the photo, the subject or photographer could be ‘tickled pink’*, or indeed looking ‘in the pink’*.  A photo that manages to do all three things is the ultimate offering.

calçada portugues in Belem - the delightful district to the west of central Lisbon

*in the pink’ means in perfect condition, or in good health, and ‘tickled pink’ means delighted.

PS. There was the possibility of a pink sunrise this morning, but I only had the phone upstairs and tried taking a photo through a rather grimy window. Result not great. Sky. Fantastic!

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. I must try to see Lisbon one day. Portugal is a somewhere I have never been, and feel I missed out on.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

        1. You would that, but I might leave it until a bit later – spring is gorgeous in Portugal. March /April might be nice. In January you need to be heading to South Africa to catch the sun. Cheap to eat out there and gorgeous red wine to drink 😉

    1. Lisbon is lovely, though tough on the old feet with those cobbles and hills. Belem area is nice and flat though.

    1. They are grimy almost as soon as the window cleaner has been! Living next to a barn with cattle and straw is a disadvantage! Noisy boys arrived yesterday so I am very tired today 😦
