Su Leslie (aka Zimmerbitch) invited me to join her and other bloggers posting a travel photo a day for ten days. The deal is I also invite someone else each day to join in, and ping-back to my post. But as several bloggers I know are already busy with the challenge I am going to resort to inviting “anyone who feels like joining in”
Travel Photo #4
I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude

Lovely atmospheric shot
Actually from the castle not of it. Well, I guess this is part of the castle walls.
One of my grandparents favourite haunts
They are Irish? Or just liked to visit.
Just liked to visit – multiple times!
Wow! Great angle from which to take a photograph. I feel dizzy just looking.
It was high up. The OH remained on the ground.
Did you kiss the stone, Jude? 🙂
Best wishes, Pete. x
Not me Pete, but my stepdaughter did. My days of hanging upside down were long gone even then 😁
Nice angle, Jude 🙂 🙂
Thank you Jo.
Ah, I must have been so dizzy doing the stone thing, I didn’t get an image like this!
Great photo Jude 🙂 The invaders would get through this castle keep I dare say now-a-days 😀
Now that’s made me wonder who / why this castle was built.
Location, location, location 😀 😀 Is it hard to find out about historical castles
An interesting history.
