This month we are looking for Brown. The colour of Mother Earth. What browns can you find in your world?
Beach Browns

I’m sure most people don’t think of beaches together with the colour brown – we associate a beach with golden or white sand, blue sky, blue sea and brightly coloured beach accessories. So it is an interesting experiment to go to a familiar place with a different perspective in mind.

Brown initially made me think of mud, but you’ve made it much more intriguing than that.
Oh, yes. Brown can be very interesting. Just get looking.
You’ve found some great browns to set us going Jude. I think this will be a popular challenge. Here’s my first set. https://retiredfromgypsylife.wordpress.com/2021/01/04/life-in-colour-january-brown/
I think you could be right Pauline 😉
Beautiful shots, Jude. No beaches here but plenty of brown this year, so I may have to jump in this month.

That would be nice Janet. Love to see the different browns around the world.
Do I link to this post any/every time I have a post or do you have a new one every day and I should link to that post? Thanks.
janet
I will post every Sunday, but the colour will change monthly, so link to the most recent one. You can choose when you post.
You’ve been photographing my beach!!! Did you know they ground up mummies (Egyptian ones and others) to get a brown, until Victorian sensibilities put a stop to it? (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mummy_brown)
I didn’t know that and it’s rather gross! I wish I was photographing your beach! 😊
I would not have thought of looking on the beach for brown but look at all those different shades! I will have a think about local brown options…. 🙂 (Or maybe just cruise through existing photos for an easier way out.)
So many choices 😊
