Life in Colour

To find out more about this year’s photo challenge here on Travel Words, please read this post.

This month we are looking for Brown. The colour of Mother Earth. We are remaining in Spain for some Barcelona Browns for the last week of this colour challenge (especially for Jo).

What browns can you find in your world? Next week we will be changing colours so get the last of your browns in now.

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. Yuk- I hate salami and spicey sausages 🙂 🙂 Snap with Catalunya and I’ll join you in that bar! Don’t remember seeing that Dragon gate- nice one! Thanks, Jude- happy Sunday!

    1. The dragon gate is out of the city – see my reply to Traudel. I am surprised you didn’t visit this place given how much you love Gaudi’s work. I would be very happy to join you in that bar, if only I could remember where it was 🤣

Another crappy day – oh how I wish I was in Portugal, or anywhere where the sun shines during the winter for more than half an hour…

      1. I rather thought I did my share of zipping about the place considering it was only a 6 day break, and one was spent in Girona. 🙂 🙂
It rains here too, Jude, but usually we’re grateful. Have to solve that winter sunshine thing this year. You’ve had plenty of time to think about it! Incidentally, how is A doing? Message me…

        1. Until travel is more likely there is no point in fretting about it. Just have to make do with the sunny days when they arrive.

    1. Thanks PP. I have been looking for browns all month and there are a surprising number of them. The bench challenge was definitely a very popular one. I had to stop myself taking photos of them, but must confess one or two creep in again now!

    1. The Gaudi works are intriguing. That gate is fabulous. Thank you for all your brown contributions 😊

      1. I enjoyed looking in my photo archives and finding memories and browns for the challenge! Thank you for organising the challenges! They are fun to participate in.

  2. I must see if I can pop together another selection, and get a more positive spin than our omni-present mud. I lie brown, so it shouldn’t be too hard.

    1. Far more browns around than we realise. In all sorts of guises. I look forward to seeing whether you find a few more.

  3. Barcelona brown….how fabulous. Don’t think I could squeeze one in before midnight tonight Jude it’s already 8pm 🙂

  4. A wonderful selection. And there could be no better way to make brown popular! That bar looks familiar to me. Is it La Xampanyeria by any chance?

    1. I don’t know where that is. This was a bar close to Placa de Catalunya where we had breakfast on the first day.
