This month we will be looking for Pink. A delicate colour that means sweet, nice, playful, cute, romantic, charming, feminine, and tenderness, is associated with bubble gum, flowers, babies, little girls, cotton candy, and sweetness.
Not all pinks are pastel – these deep pink waterlilies pop out from amongst the blue-green leaves.
“I gave to pink
the nerve of the red,
a neon pink,
an unreal pink.”
~ Ella Schiaparelli

Love those water lilies – such a really vibrant deep pink colour which is hard to miss.
I may not have found unusual shades of pink but did discover my camera and iPad changed the colour so it looked completely different to real life.
Here’s my link for this week.
Thanks Cathy!
in German we differentiate it in pink and rosa. So I am looking for pink now.
So many different shades and tints of each and every colour. When you think about it what colour is pink exactly?
There is a true “rosa” and a true pink, in between you can’t be axact.
Always had a thing about water lilies! If I had a place big enough for a pond I’d love to have some. 🙂 🙂
You can grow miniature ones in a container pond – Pauline and Jack do using half barrels, you must be able to pick one up in Portugal I imagine.
Yes, I suspect you’re right. Need a specialist garden centre and someone to nag the husband into it. He’s all for the easy life so we just pick up a few plants at the local market or garden centre 🤗💕
A project for the summer when it’s too hot for walking.
That could be soon! It’s 24C today but we walked this morning when it was a bit cooler 🌞💕
Crazy weather! That’s a bit warm for me. I think it was around 11 degrees today and pleasantly warm when the sun broke through the cloud. I even sat outside reading for half an hour this afternoon!
11??? I’d need a big jumper 🤣. Still on the roof but I’ll have to go and do the spuds soon 💕
Yeah, dinner calls here too.
I love this photo – the colours, the flowers, everything.
Thanks Elaine.
Lovely water lilies captured there, Jude! I think the pink colour in my photo for the week could be called unusual….. Take a look and decide!

I shall pop over for a look now, just been making the most of this lovely dry weather we are experiencing.
Oh lucky you! I’m doing the same here, but our weather is cooler now and at least I can now get some serious gardening done!
This is a particularly nice water lily study. I love the way the curving path of the flowers moves your eye through the whole image.
Now that was sheer luck rather than management!
