Life in Colour

To find out more about this year’s photo challenge here on Travel Words, please read this post.

This month we will be looking for Pink. A delicate colour that means sweet, nice, playful, cute, romantic, charming, feminine, and tenderness, is associated with bubble gum, flowers, babies, little girls, cotton candy, and sweetness.

Not all pinks are pastel – these deep pink waterlilies pop out from amongst the blue-green leaves.

“I gave to pink
the nerve of the red,
a neon pink,
an unreal pink.”
~ Ella Schiaparelli

What unusual shades of pink can you find?

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. Nope. Keeping you guessing this year 😊 you do have the entire month to find something though once it is announced.

      1. True, but I’m not going to trawl through the same thousands of photos every month looking for those with a specific colour. That’s why I thought if I knew in advance, I could have one session. ah well.

        1. Just trawl through and pop a few of each colour into a folder, my colours are not unusual, blue, purple, red, orange to come.

    1. Yes, they are lovely. I want to create a very small natural looking pond, but could do with some help.
