Life in Colour

To find out more about this year’s photo challenge here on Travel Words, please read this post.

This month we will be looking for red. One of the primary colours, red often indicates danger. It is pure energy, loud, demanding to be seen. Think of a red ladybird, a red rose, autumn leaves and a sunset. Passion. A heart.

is redder than
a bucketful”

Possibly one of the easiest colours to notice – what unusual reds do you have to share?

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. Aaah, I was wondering when Red would come up! Off to search the archives! And where was that wonderful red tram? Back in the days of using print film, I would have had an image of a red tram in Innsbruck, but doubt I have it anymore…..

    1. Well, trams may make an appearance again this month so it would be nice if you can track yours down.

  2. Cheerful and vibrating impressions, Jude. To find something red in the landscape strikes up the image, it’s a beautiful addition to the garden and a favourite colour splash inside to match grey interiors – only in my wardrobe it’s a rare colour. Does red look good on you?
Have a good weekend. It’s raining on the coast again 🌊🌈♥️

    1. I never wore red Dina as I had reddish hair, until my thirties when I realised it actually suited me. Now it’s more the burgundy shades rather than scarlet. As for landscapes, there always seems to be one person in a red jacket out there 😂

    1. Great! I look forward to seeing what you discover. It’s all those trees you know, should have used green last month!
